VistorDay.com Test – Week 3

Another week gone by, another 40¢ earned.  YEAH!  Okay sarcasm there.  The total amount earned is from the financial sites – creditcardsfor.com and bestbankloans.net.  Nothing from the adult names, not even a single visitor.

Mini post for this report – but that’s because there’s not much to report.  I’ll stick around a bit longer – and see how Morgan Linton does with them – before deciding. But not looking good.

VisitorDay.com Test Week 2

Now week 2 of the VisitoryDay.com test.  Still not much activity, and not much different than parking with WhyPark.com.

Adult names are still at 0.  No visitors, so therefore no clicks and no money.  Perhaps VisitorDay.com is not the place for adult names.

The financial ones haven’t really changed either.  A few more visitors – about 1 per day – but only an additional .08 this week.  Not really worth the time and energy to change them all over and track them.

I’ll keep going for at least a month but not looking good at the moment.

VisitorDay.com Test Update

Well, one week in and limited success. Two names, BestBankLoans.net & CreditCardsFor.com, have 24 uniques, 2 clicks and avg of .23 cents each. Okay for one week – better than where they were before.

However, the other names – 2 financial and 14 Adult have Nada. Nothing. No visitors even to the Adult names. A week is too soon to judge anything but I’ll keep checking (I am a data geek) and reporting to all.

Love to hear if any of you are having success with VisitorDay.com.

VisitorDay.com Test

While reviewing Morgan Linton’s 2010 summary I noticed a banner across the top of his site advertising for VisitorDay.com.  VisitorDay.com appears to be a new type of parking company so why not.  With over 1400 names to work with I need options to park names while listing them or planning to develop them.  I love WhyPark.com and Epik has been very good to me but it’s always good to explore other options.

VisitorDay.com is in beta but figured I could give it a go with a few names and see what happens.  The names I chose for the test – see below – aren’t really paying anything parked so why not.  Their website says they can pay more because their platform includes PPC, affiliate program income, content placement income and even advertising.  4 ways to make money versus just parked with PPC.  Okay, so how easy can this be.  (Note:  no, I’m not looking for the easy way out but if a easy free way can provide some income then I’ll take it.)

Sign up and set up was pretty easy.  You create groups of domains, or they have some preset already, and add domains to those groups.  You can edit domains individually but you can also make edits to the groups (save some time).  I chose to add names to two of their standard groups – Adult and Finance.  Added the names and changed the DNS today.

I won’t bore/offend you with the adult names (and Mom, I’m working on selling them so relax) but the finance names chosen were:

  • BestBankLoans.net
  • Charge-Cards.net
  • CreditCardsFor.com
  • IraMoneyMarket.com
  • RemoveTaxLiens.com

Granted, not the greatest names but that’s why they are parked for now.  The goal of this test is to see how VisitorDay.com compares to other monetization options.  Join me as we find out together.

Caveat:  their servers appear really slow, even to the point of errors now and then, so I’ll cut this test short if that continues to be the case.  If you have to wait on the Account Dashboard side to make changes due to slow servers what’s that do to the public side?  We’ll see.

Feel free to comment if you’ve used VisitorDay.com before and provide any feedback on them below.  Thanks.

Is this the year?

Is this the year? The year that change – the change we actually want – happens? The year that we can achieve Freedom for ourselves. Mike Berkens had a great post yesterday with “Day 1 and 750k in the hole”. That helped push me along to what is key in business, and in life. What can I do today to make the minimum required for Freedom? What can I change about myself to achieve the change that I want? Will I really spend another year wasting time and not getting to where I want to be?

My wife and I have decided that enough is enough. We moved to Jacksonville partly to break free from existing restrictions. And yet, those restrictions are still on us to a large degree. I take full responsibility for that and will take into my hands the responsibility (because all freedom does come with responsibility) to achieve Freedom.

Is this the year that we actually become domainers – and not just collectors? Do we actually develop a name or two into a business – or just keep coming up with ‘great ideas’? Is this the year where we take the break and step out into the unknown – or fold to the fear and ‘be normal’? Is this the year where we make a difference in someone’s life by achieving freedom for ourselves – thereby showing them how to do it.

I hereby state that this is the year. Now is the time.

Thanks for listening. Feel free to follow our professional journey here and our personal journey at FreedomChallenge.com (not ready yet but soon).
